The Curse of Issyos, one more masterpiece from the creators of Cursed Castilla and Super Hydorah, is a retro-styled action platformer with nothing but the classics of an old 8-bit game: a good bunch of enemies and bosses, linear and open scroll levels, secrets to discover, and a background story inspired by Greek mythology. It doesn’t try to mimic any retro system in particular, but is coherent with its own limitations in the use of colors, sprites and chip sounds.
And here’s a suggestion…
The Curse of Issyos is a perfect choice to introduce your loved ones to retro gaming. Now that we’re all home, it’s a good time to gain a gaming buddy, or enjoy gaming time all to yourself.
The Curse of Issyos is slightly more forgiving than retro games are typically believed to be. What is more, it gets fun and addictive from the first minutes of gameplay, so no one would even have the time to get bored. The game can be completed in just 45 minutes, but only if fully mastered, so get it today and keep practicing!
Defkalion was fishing at the quiet blue sea when he heard the voice of goddess Athena. “Hurry up”, she said. “The Isle of Issyos has been cursed by the Olympus!”
And so, fearing for his daughter Delia, his only family left, the fisherman sails back to his home, where the adventure is about to begin.
